Fabulous Frogs

Today in the afternoon at school I made an origami frog. I got the instructions off a Youtube channel called MP easy origami. If you push the back of the frog it flips. I think I did really well. I tried to make it green using single-sided origami paper but I accidentally folded on the wrong side so it came out on the white side.

Do you like origami? What is your favourite origami creation you have made? Please comment below. I appreciate your feedback.

Super Salt & Perfect Pepper

As NZ is currently in lockdown we are currently having to do school at home. Today I tried to do a science experiment. In the science experiment, you mix together salt and pepper and try to separate them. Here are the instructions:
 You Will Need:
  1. A Comb
  2. Salt
  3. Pepper
  4. A Plate
Steps:
  1. Put a tablespoon of salt onto the plate
  2. Put 1/2 a teaspoon of pepper on the plate
  3. Shake the plate so that the salt & pepper are mixed together
  4. Run the comb through your hair
  5. Put the comb directly above the plate and the pepper should start to jump
Here are some images of me doing it:

I got this experiment off the Cool Science Experiment Headquarters Youtube page. I started to get the pepper onto the comb but I did not get it all on. Do you think you can do it? If so please comment below. I appreciate your feedback.

Daring Darrius Simmons

As Nz is currently in lockdown we are having to do schoolwork from home. Today I chose an activity on the Scholastic website. First I read an article about someone called Darrius Simmons. Darrius Simmons is a pianist from Ohio, America but he only has 1 finger on his left hand and 3 fingers on his left hand. He recently did a performance at Carnegie Hall with a Korean musician called Yurama. I think he is really inspiring. Then I had to pretend I had a messenger chat with someone else about him. I think I did a really good job.

Do you play an instrument like him? If so please comment below. I appreciate your feedback.

Genius Gandhi

As Nz is currently in lockdown, we are having to do schoolwork from home and each day my school are saying to do a blog post. For this task, I had to read a Scholastic article about Mohandas Gandhi and then make a Facebook profile of him. I got the information from Wikipedia. I think I have put good information and have made it look really effective.
Do you know who Mohandas Gandhi is? If so please comment below. I appreciate your feedback.

Radical Rock'n'Roll

As NZ is currently in lockdown we are doing our schoolwork from home. My school have said that each day we have to blog about what we did that day.  Today I read an article about the origin of rock'n'roll on the Scholastic website. I then had to copy and paste key lines or phrases from the article. Then I had to rearrange them to make a poem. The image is of Elvis Presley and belongs to The Feedback Society. I think I have made a really good poem and have made it look really good too.

Do you like rock'n'roll? What is your favourite genre of music? Please comment below. I appreciate your feedback.

Super Show Not Tell

As NZ is currently in lockdown we are doing our schoolwork from home. My school have said that each day we have to blog what we did that day.  Today I had to write a show not tell about giraffes. A show no tell is where you write about something but you do not actually state what you are writing about directly. If you read a show not tell you should be able to tell what it is. I think I have done a really descriptive job and it includes everything about a giraffe that I could think of.  The image belongs to Getty Images.

Do you use show not tell at your school? Do you like giraffes? If so please comment below. I appreciate your feedback.

As New Zealand is currently in lockdown we are having to do schoolwork from home. My school says that we have to do a blog post a day. For one of my activities today  I had to make a Piskel of a house I would like to live in. I think I have
made it look really appealing and cosy.  Have you used Piskel before? If so please comment below. I appreciate your feedback.
