As it is the school holidays kids around NZ are doing the summer learning challenge so that they can improve in their learning before going back to school. For this activity, I had to choose a Nobel Prize winner and research them. I chose to research Bob Dylan. I think I have made a really informative description of him. Sport's Most Heated Rivalries

As we all know it is the summer holidays and over the summer holidays schools around NZ are doing the summer learning challenge so that kids can keep getting smarter over the holidays. The summer learning challenge is a set of activities that are designed to help kids with their learning over the holidays. For this activity, I had to write about three worldwide rivalries. Over the summer holidays, my school are participating in the summer learning challenge so that we can say we have got smarter over the holidays.  For this activity, I had to figure how old aborigine Jessa Rogers was when she won NAIDOC youth of the year in 2010. I think I have a good explanation.

Concerning Cancer

As we all know it is the school holidays and over the holidays you seem to forget what you have learnt over the last year. That is why schools in New Zealand are the Summer Learning Journey. For this activity in the Summer Learning Journey, I had to pick a charity and describe what kind of work they do. As it is the school holidays all over New Zealand kids are doing the Summer Learning Challenge. The summer learning challenge was designed so that children can improve their learning without teachers. Brilliant BFG

For the rest of the term, we are doing preparation activities for the Summer Learning Challenge. The Summer Learning Challenge was made so that we do not go backwards in our learning.  For this activity, I had to make a ten-word description of the BFG and make a picture. I made the picture with Piskel.

Proudness Interview

We are doing the Summer Learning Journey at school so we do not need to do lots of catch up work after the holidays. At the moment we are just doing a teaser week so we get used to the activities. This week we are doing practice activities for the Summer Learning Challenge. The idea of the learning challenge is that we do not go backwards in our learning over the holidays.
