At school, we do something called SOL. SOL is where your teachers set you a topic and you need to make two open-ended questions and answer them. This week we had to do ours on a problem in the world. I decided to do mine on corruption. Corruption is where someone pays someone to get his/her own way without following the law. My two questions were what is corruption and why is it so popular? Here it is:
Do you know what corruption is? If so please comment below. I appreciate your feedback.

Wrong, wrong, wrong
In writing, we are doing narratives. A narrative is a recap of a real or fake story. We had about 40 minutes in total to write it. I think I did quite well for the small amount of time we had! Here is mine:

Genius Goal Ladders
This morning we had to make our two goal ladders for the term. In a goal ladder, you have your main goal on the top and the smaller steps underneath. We had to have a goal for learning and a goal for the five R's. Her are my goals:

Perfect Patterns
This term in maths we are focusing on patterns and relationships. This week for our must do we had to create a DLO (digital learning object) on patterns and relationships. I made mine on Google Slides because I did not have much time and I can make slideshows really quickly. I think I have made quite a good presentation. Here it is:

Carrots Consuming Challenge
As children tend to forget what they have been learning over the holidays Ura Manuka set challenges each holiday to help children with their learning. I decided to do challenge thirteen which is to see how much of a carrot you can eat in one minute. I think I ate quite a lot as I think carrots are yummy. here are my before and after photos:
Do you like carrots? Do you think you could eat more than me? If so please comment below. Your feedback helps me improve!

Cool Commenting
These holidays Ura Manuka set homework challenges for students to complete over the holidays! For this activity, I had to comment on three other students blogs. I commented on the blogs of Haemo from Marshland School, Samuel from Parkview Parau and Ben from Belfast School. Our commenting success criteria is a positive sentence, a thoughtful sentence and a helpful sentence. I think I have included all of those in all three of my comments. Here are my comments:

Awesome Non-Allergy Restaurants
As it is the school holidays there have been homework challenges set so that we do not go backwards in our learning during the break. For this latest challenge, I had to design a food chain.
I decided to make a non-allergy food chain as I have multiple allergies and do not want anybody to go through the same experiences as I have with food. I called my restaurant Sans Allergy as it is french for Allergy Free. I think I have made my food chain attractive for outsiders. Here are my designs for my food chain:
Do you like my food chain? Do you have allergies? If so please comment below and don't be afraid to speak out on my blog!

Fantastic Foods Of Yemen
These holidays we have been set a series of homework challenges all based on foods. The series of homework is called Spring Learning Challenges. For this activity, I did activity seven. Activity seven is " Choose a country and research the foods they eat. Create a presentation and put this on your blog". I decided to research foods from Yemen as it is a country I do not know much about. I have chosen five foods from Yemen and written a paragraph about each of them. I think I have put some good information on my slideshow. Here is my slideshow:
Do you like foods from Yemen? Have you ever been to Yemen or do you know anyone from Yemen? If so please comment below. I appreciate your feedback.
